Axure Lo-Fi Prototype

Wireframe Revisions

To create hierarchy and the best experience for the user while accessing CARPELLA, we decided that the user can access the music and friend’s functionalities in a footer menu, located at the bottom of the platform. This was decided because a user can press the button on their mobile device using their thumbs and is natural to how a phone is held, therefore can choose music and can change moods easily.

Initially, our team had destinations “from” and “to” fields that the user will need to type in order to start their trip. The team decided that since the user will access the application in a vehicle using geolocation, there is no need to add a “from” field. We simplified the page by making a field that asks the user for their destination and automatically giving their route based on their current location.

The initial prototype had a hamburger menu that the user will use to navigate between the pages, but the group decided to revise it to a menu page located at the top right of the platform.

The mobile and vehicle platform designs are similar, but have different breakpoints due to the screen size difference. The navigation menu at the bottom of the page was initially at the top, but we changed it because it will be more accessible to the user if they are using their phone.

Originally, the “invite friends” page resembled a card that the user selects and then sends invitations. However, this was revised into a map page with online friend’s icons that the user can select from a map, then send the invitations in order to reach the unity between all channels
