
Usability Testing
In the testing, subjects were given three scenarios to work with (finding a location, adding friends to the trip and streaming music during their trip).
The following are the take-away points from the observations of the user testing:

Users understood and easily accessed the map functionality of CARPELLA. It set the stage for what the application’s purpose was and were eager to use it for their upcoming trip

Once users accessed their trip, they became confused how to access the other functionalities, due to that they could not locate the ‘friends’ icon or the ‘add stop’ button instinctively.

As a result, our team decided in the high-fi prototype to design a pop-up function or revision to the existing icons to point out the icons and their uses. This will indicate clarity on how a user can access the application easily.
